You asked for it....I don't have pet peeves, I have major fucking hatereds. Here is the short list.

 

• Stupid people.
• People who give you a list like "This is what I want, A) blah blah blah and 2) blah blah blah". STICK WITH EITHER LETTERS OR NUMBERS!
• People who sit there and try to talk to you when you are trying to do something, but if you do it to them they bitch.
• People who can't accept the fact that you think different than them and hound you constantly trying to get you to agree with them.
• Did I mention stupid people?
• People who ask your opinion then get pissed when you give it.

 

As I said, this is just the short list.

In mid-January a 6 year old girl was found murdered, her back broken by her parents. Why was she killed? According to the parents she was possesed by a demon! They were trying to get rid of the demon as suggested to them by their church. The whole story was covered by CNN.com. Did you see the article? Not likely. It seems J'Lo and Afleck's breakup was more important to CNN because that is what domminated the homepage. It seems like they were trying to sweep iut under the carpet. Hell, you couldn't even find the article unles you knew what you were looking for. The article was released 2 different days under 2 different titles. Hmmm, let's see... What is more important? A child being killed? Yet another Hollywood break-up? Hmmm, I'd have to say the child. There was another child in Texas that was found dead, parents from the same church, but I cannot find that article anymore.Had it been non-christian parents do you think the media would have hidden it so well? I doubt it! It would be screamed from the steeples. It would be plastered over the front page of every newspaper in the nation. It has been done before. It is very clear the christian church has a hold on the American media and I for one am sick of it.

I hate my government. I think my president.... well, I can't find a word.... he makes a turnip look like a Nobel Prize winner. I think this whole war in Iraq is stupid. Does this mean I hate my country? A lot of people out there say yes. I say no, I love my country, I am proud to be an American, though at times I am embarrassed to admit it thanks to out good ol' Moron in Chief. It is possible to love the country and hate the people running it (into the ground). Do I say the Pledge of Allegiance? Do I stand for the National Anthem? No, I do not feel I should be force to do such things, considering I do not believe in most of the words in it. I still get misty at a fireworks display, or a particularly well worded patriotic song. I do love my country, the mountains, the fields, the oceans, the rivers, the cities and the communities. I love the broad range of environments, I love the wealth of wildlife, I love that I can write this without going to jail (for now). I love the troops that protect us, but I am opposed to this whole Iraq thing because I love them. They don't belong there. Their lives are being risked for no reason. Would the politicians be so quick to get in a pissing match if they were told their sons, daughters, grandchildren had to go to the front lines first? I doubt it, but they expect us to do it without question.

Just think about it.

Hello and welcome to my journal. Hmmm, journal.... maybe rant board is more like it. Here is where I will likely vent all the things that tick me off. Feel free to respond with your opinions and I will feel free to ignore them if I think they are stupid. Trust me, I'm usually sweet and nice, but even someone who is sweet and nice needs to be a bitch sometimes or their head will explode (hence the need to vent). Anyway, enjoy, or don't, not that it will really make a difference.
